The bluer the better- That's what people used to say about tanzanites, so most tanzanites get "heat treatments". Therefore, tanzanites in the market places are usually blue as the night sky on the coldest days. However, recently the value of tanzanites' natural beauty are being noticed.
With heat treatments, tanzanites become as blue as possible, but the other color tones disappear. Once you look into the tanzanites with no heat treatments, you will see the perfectly balanced mixture of blue and purple.
Not all natural tanzanites have this color. We were lucky enough to find these at one of the world's largest Jewelry show in Hong Kong. Only 0.1 % of all tanzanites have this sparkle and well-balanced color without heat treatments.
Among thousands of high quality tanzanites, we found the best ones with the most dramatic colors. The stone in the right side of the picture below is a tanzanite you will often see in the market with a pale coloring. We only use tanzanites with rich coloring that fully satisfy us, like the one on the left.
To maximize the color and brilliance of the bluest stone of all, we kept the ring simple as possible. The combination of the thin arm, and the fine quality gold is only feasible by Bizoux's craftsmen with rich experiences.
The sparkle and color of Tanzanites differs depending on the time of day and the lighting. Enjoy the dramatic change that they present under different situations!
